 Page 50: 50 Key Pieces of Children's Literature ...

Children's literature and books is something I am extremely passionate about! I love exploring texts with a class, and finding new books to share, inspire and enjoy to promote a life long love of reading for all pupils. Therefore, I personally thought there was no better way to celebrate getting to page 50 than in this snappy post sharing 50 of my top favourite children's booked that I have used in the classroom/would like to use in the future.

These are a mixture of books that can be used right from nursery, up to year 6, some having the potential for whole schemes of work/ a whole school theme exploring different aspects. From a story during carpet time, or a 15 minute whole class read in year 6, the enjoyment and learning opportunities from books are endless and as a teacher, I believe it is essential to teach through a range of literaute, linking topics and learning, allowing pupils to develop their imagination, story telling and vocabulary.
