My Yearbook. This may not seem like your conventional book, but I decided the best way to create a resource for not only me, but for other training and qualified practitioners was to document my journey as I fill up my 'yearbook' on my path to graduation.

As children, we are asked what we want to be when we grow up. Most children would range from wanting to be a dinosaur to an astronaut, however, when I was asked this question my result never differed. My only response would be, 'a teacher'. When contemplating the best way to start my yearbook, I decided to sum up where I am now, to where it all started - my personal statement. I feel the opening to my statement (I can't believe how long ago I wrote this now) is the best way to illustrate my lifelong passion and ambition to become a teacher. When I finished my A- level's this was not the end of education or even school for me. This phrase is what has taken me to where I am now.  So... hi, I'm Miss Yeoman and I have just finished my first year at university, working towards my degree: Primary Education with QTS and I absolutely love it!

So what will my Yearbook contain?
My book will be all things education. I am passionate to share my journey from my strengths to my struggles and all the bits in between. I am a firm believer that the best way to learn is through reflection, so as I work through my yearbook I believe it is vital to share these moments to help others reflect and learn along with me. I view this blog as my teacher training scrapbook. The main areas I plan to focus on are:

- A reflection as a year 1 education student
- Life as a student teacher (and the contrasts to perhaps the stereotypical 'uni lifestyle'- I promise getting up at 5:45 whilst on placement gets easier with time!)
- Online learning (both as a university student as well as providing online learning to pupils during the current COVID- 19 pandemic)
- The traditionally academic side of an education degree (everything from writing essays to referencing)
- The process of teaching (planning to teaching to reflecting)

Through my yearbook my passion is to share lessons and ideas as well as writing about my experiences.  I am excited to get stuck into my yearbook and share my ideas and thoughts with other aspiring or qualified practitioners on my journey to graduation and teaching career.
